On November 9, 2020, Adobe Inc announced it would acquire Workfront for $1.5 billion USD. The company’s software has been implemented by Emerson and the State of Arkansas court system to standardize project management process including collaboration and document control. Workfront’s customers include companies such as, Cisco Systems, Comcast, Food and Drug Administration and National Geographic. In 2015, the company was renamed from AtTask to Workfront and opened a new headquarters in Utah.
Workfront has 1000 employees and approximately 4,000 customers with offices in the United States and EMEA. The company was founded in 2001 by Scott Johnson. Workfront was a bold $1.5 billion investment made by Adobe, and we can now begin to see how it will be used not only to improve the productivity of creative teams, but to also build out capabilities for marketers, especially enterprises and B2B Marketo customers.Ĭlearly, Adobe is leveraging its Workfront acquisition to create a collaboration infrastructure that is more connected to its own ecosystem than, say, a competing collaboration platform.Workfront, Inc., was a Lehi, Utah-based software company that developed web-based work management and project management software that features enterprise work management, issue tracking, document management, time tracking and portfolio management.
